G'day Brendon.
I am an age group triathlete and over the last three years have completed
4 half ironmans which include half marathons, as well four individual half
marathon events.
This will be my first marathon. In preparing for the marathon, the volume of running has been limited because of an iliotibial problem. I've been doing three sessions per week - tempo (at least 15 kms), track and long run. My longest runs have been 34 (five weeks ago) and 32 kms (three weeks ago).

I am confident I will finish the marathon but in what shape I'm not sure. Do you have any advice on how to avoid the wall and if I do hit it what can be done to get through it so I can enjoy the final stage?
Thanks for comments.
Andrew
